Kids Choir for the Thames Festival

Kids Choir at the Thames Festival directed by Richard Frostick

Richard devised and led the first Kids Choir and has conducted 14 concerts in the Scoop, next to City Hall on the banks of the Thames.

400 children from London primary schools sang together at the culmination of a six-month long project. Richard worked with the teachers and children in a series of workshops and rehearsals through the summer.

Highlights have included the first performance of a specially commissioned work by composer Jonathan Dove and the launch of the London Curriculum. Over 4,000 children have sung in these concerts to date and many thousands more have enjoyed singing the songs in their schools.
